Andrew OS Drive Reader
A personal integration operated by Andrew Hunger to retrieve Andrew OS records from Google Drive for his authenticated Front Door clients, including ChatGPT.
What it does
The hosted reader is designed to retrieve requested plain Markdown records and file metadata from the configured Andrew-OS-Vault folder. It checks the authorized account, file identity, location and integrity before returning records to an authenticated requesting client.
The prepared reader does not edit, create or delete Drive files. Canonical saving and new capture writes remain disabled. Existing historical attachments and backups are separate archives, available only through authenticated historical references.
Google permission
The proposed hosted connection requests only Google's drive.readonly permission. That permission permits viewing and downloading files across the authorized Google Drive account. The application's vault and file restrictions narrow its own requests; they do not narrow Google's account-wide grant. Persistent hosted access requires a separate explicit authorization.
A separate disposable test client in the same Google project uses drive.file for individually authorized test files. It is not the hosted reader and does not establish access to the existing vault.
Current availability
The hosted Drive reader is prepared for activation. This informational site does not connect an account, grant file access or announce a production cutover. Front Door deployment and live acceptance remain separate steps. Opening these public pages never retrieves private Drive records.
